PAUL M. OAKLEY

Founder and President

Paul Oakley is an invaluable advisor for organizations seeking to engage key stakeholders who matter most. For nearly 25 years, he managed PR, public affairs, sustainability, corporate and marketing communications programs for a range of domestic, international and global brands.


Oakley honed his skills working with nonprofits, start-ups, mid-cap companies and Fortune 50 leaders primarily in the plastics, chemicals, materials and automotive segments. He is passionate about alternative and renewable technologies and applications.


Oakley earned his reputation delivering award-winning results and building high-performance agency and in-house communications teams worldwide. He has lived and worked across the United States, Europe and South America, and has worked extensively in Asia.


Oakley is a member of the Tennessee Growers Coalition and the Tennessee Chapter of the Hemp Industries Association. He also is a member of the board of Nashville’s Friends of Warner Parks and serves on its marketing committee. He is a graduate of Nashville’s Leadership Music and serves as the co-chair for the steering committee of Music Makes Us, a Metro Nashville Public Schools music education partnership. He earned a bachelor’s degree in PR from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff and lives with his wife, Jami, and their two sons in Nashville. When not strengthening business reputations, Oakley can be found playing congas, gardening, cooking or perfecting a new fermentation.

MATTHEW C. TRAMEL

Regional Director

Matt Tramel deploys wholistic messaging strategies for growing organizations with a passion to drive positive brand awareness – and accelerate the execution of their vision. Backed by more than 20 years as an engaging and trusted counselor, he’s guided marketing communications programming for both public and private companies, a leading non-profit industry association and numerous clients of an award-winning PR agency.

Tramel’s work has amplified the brands of market-leading real estate investment and development companies, REITs, alternative investment platforms and commercial building products companies. Tramel has broad experience in media relations, public affairs and issues management, spokesperson training, policy advocacy, investor relations, social media, website development and brand awareness programming.

Tramel earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Eastern Illinois University and an MBA in real estate finance and investment from DePaul University. Volunteerism and membership interests have included the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and the Wisconsin Hemp Alliance. Matt and his wife Heather live in Madison, Wisconsin - recent transplants after two-decades in Chicago. He’s passionate about experiencing the arts, strengthening our shared humanity and is an outdoor enthusiast. If he doesn’t pick up his phone, he’s out hiking, biking or kayaking Wisconsin’s Driftless Area.

JENNY KARN

Account and Program Management

Karn is a digital marketing and communications strategist with 15 years of experience. She started her career in journalism and switched to agency life in 2011. Since then, she has worked with global brands like Google, Nike, Amazon, Forbes, the National Geographic Channel, and the US Chamber of Commerce to deliver high-impact marketing campaigns that get results. She specializes in online brand reputation, especially tricky digital platforms like Wikipedia, Glassdoor, and LinkedIn.

KATHLEEN GROOMS

Marketing Communications Coordinator

Kathleen Grooms is a marketing communications coordinator for Tiny Mighty Communications. She supports social media and digital programming for the firm and key clients, and contributes to strategic media relations and monitoring, drafting client-ready content and providing support to the team on various client programs and business development efforts.

 

Grooms most recently served as a public relations intern at Room Shop Vintage, a Philadelphia-based e-commerce store and showroom selling vintage and sustainably designed apparel and accessories. She is adept at social media marketing and has guided influencer relations work that resulted in increased followership on Instagram and media coverage in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.

 

A public relations graduate from Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication, Grooms studied abroad in Rome and traveled Europe for a year. She lives in Franklin, Tennessee with her two dogs Mickey and Princess. When she isn’t working, Grooms enjoys yoga and wellness, film, vintage design and sustainability, and spending time outdoors.

SYLVIA BACHMANN

Strategy, Account Management and Writing

Sylvia is an authentic and passionate communications professional with 30 years of experience in business-to-business and consumer marketing. With subject matter expertise in agriculture, healthcare, and environmentalism, she has provided strategic public relations consulting to clients in a wide range of industries including: crop protection, animal health, pharmaceuticals, plastics and chemicals, building materials, professional audio equipment, assistive technology, community and public health, environmental non-profits, and countless others.

 

Prior to founding her own consultancy, Sylvia contributed to award-winning public relations campaigns for prestigious agencies, with VP positions at Cohn & Wolfe, Edelman Worldwide and Ketchum. Driven to dig deep for clients, Sylvia’s professional raison d'être is to help clients tell their stories boldly, proudly, and with conviction.
